Message from the Department Head

The Department of Nursing is one of the founding departments of our university, havingcommenced its educational activities since the institution's establishment. The Department of Nursing offers two separate undergraduate programs within the Faculty of Health Sciences, one delivered in Turkish and the other in English (100%). Both programs have beendeveloped in alignment with European standards and structured in accordance with theNursing National Core Education Program (HUCEP), recognized by the Council of HigherEducation (YOK). A high-quality education is delivered by a competent academic facultywith substantial expertise in both scholarly and clinical domains.
Since its inception, our department has upheld a student-centered educational philosophy, supporting the development of our students not only in terms of professional knowledge andcompetencies but also as well-rounded individuals equipped to meet the demands of thecontemporary world. In this regard, students are encouraged
to develop innovative products in collaboration with academic staff, conduct scientific research and projects, and activelyparticipate in academic and social activities.
Our educational approach aims to foster a strong professional identity grounded in occupational values and ethical principles. Our primary objective is to cultivate professionalnurses who are sensitive to the health needs of individuals, families, and communities; whodeliver evidence-based care; who embrace lifelong learning; who are capable of innovativeand critical thinking; who possess well-developed leadership skills; and who serve as pioneersin the advancement of the nursing profession.
