Mission


The mission of our Department of Nursing is to train qualified nurses who integrate emerging technologies and contemporary approaches with professional practice in accordance with universal scientific and ethical principles, and who are committed to protecting and promoting the health of individuals, families, and communities, while contributing to the field of nursing through scientific research.
 

Vision


The vision of our Department of Nursing is to become a leading department that is preferred at both national and international levels through a modern and high-quality educational approach; one that embraces a research-oriented mindset, adapts to technological advancements, and fosters multidisciplinary and cross-cultural collaboration.


Core Principles and Values


The core principles and values of the Ankara Medipol University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Nursing are outlined below.
Care: With the awareness that care constitutes the foundation of nursing, the department is committed to educating professionals who deliver care in a compassionate, conscientious, holistic, transparent, selfless, and participatory manner, placing the individuality of the person at the center of practice.
Holistic Approach: In addition to person-centered care, a community-based health approach is embraced. The department aims to train nurses who are capable of assessing the health needs of individuals, families, and communities from a holistic perspective.
Ethical Sensitivity: Throughout the educational process, students are guided to internalize universal ethical principles, including respect for human dignity, protection of privacy, justice, equity, and professional accountability. Students are supported in developing professional ethical sensitivity and in making sound decisions when confronted with ethical dilemmas.
Multidisciplinary Approach: Grounded in a multidisciplinary framework for health services, students are equipped with the competencies to collaborate across different disciplines, engage in collective decision-making, and employ effective communication skills in interprofessional settings.
Continuous Development: Students are expected to sustain their professional and personal growth throughout their lives and to adapt to evolving technologies and changing health needs in a spirit of lifelong learning.
Social Responsibility: Students are equipped with the competency to raise awareness regarding the improvement of public health and the reduction of health inequities, to develop social responsibility projects, and to take an active role in the protection of community health.
Sustainability: With the recognition that the environment is an integral component of public health, students are instilled with an approach that prioritizes the efficient use of natural resources, advocates for sustainable health practices, and upholds the health rights of future generations.
