Welcome to the Faculty of Communication at Ankara Medipol University. In the age we live in, information circulates faster than ever, and the social impact of visual and verbal messages has become far more visible. Digital tools have entered every area of our daily lives, and the distance between the speaker and what is said grows shorter by the day. At such a time, communication is not merely a profession; it is a field that requires distinguishing right from wrong, bearing responsibility and standing behind what is said. With this understanding, our Faculty aims to educate communication professionals who read, question and never lose sight of the human dimension.

Our Faculty began its academic life in the 2020–2021 academic year and, within a short time, succeeded in building a strong institutional identity. Having graduated its first students from the Department of Public Relations and Advertising (Turkish) in 2024, our Faculty took an important step towards internationalization by admitting the first students of the Department of Public Relations and Advertising (English) in the 2025–2026 academic year.

In addition to our Faculty's permanent faculty members, the contributions of distinguished academics from other faculties of our university and from external institutions, all experts in their fields, add depth to our educational processes and offer our students a rich interdisciplinary perspective. With the dedicated contributions of our young and dynamic academic and administrative staff, we are moving towards our goal of permanently positioning our Faculty among Türkiye's most respected faculties of communication. Establishing our Faculty firmly among Türkiye's reputable communication faculties with our young and hardworking team is one of our most important goals for the years ahead.

At the heart of our educational approach lies reinforcing what is learned in class and from books through practice. We complement our courses with jury presentations, workshops, industry visits, real projects, a compulsory internship and the MediPost newspaper, produced by our students themselves. In this way, our students become familiar with the language of the industry, take part in the work and strengthen their professional skills through real experience before they graduate.

Artificial intelligence is quietly changing the rules of the communication profession. Who writes the news, who produces the visuals, who crafts the advertising copy: the answers to these questions change every year. As a Faculty, we neither ignore artificial intelligence nor accept it uncritically. We introduce our students to AI and teach them how to work with it, while always keeping our central question in mind: How will we protect what is uniquely human? We want our graduates to be communicators who master their tools without being driven by them, who know their own culture and who can read the world.

Communication is a field that requires questioning the intent behind words and images. Contributing to the future of this field requires not only professional skills but also a strong sense of responsibility and a critical perspective.
