Department of Information Technologies

Higher education is one of the fastest-changing fields in today's digital age. Supporting this rapid transformation in both methods and content with continually renewed infrastructure and software is a cornerstone of a modern university.

As the Medipol family, we have made significant investments in information technologies in recent years. As a result, our University stands out for both its technological infrastructure and its capacity to develop products and solutions.

From our high-capacity, highly secure data center, we deliver all the systems, infrastructure and software required by both our university and our affiliated hospitals as private cloud-based services.

The MEBİS software, developed in-house at our university, lies at the heart of all our academic and administrative processes. With its flexibility, integration capabilities and the strong expertise behind it, MEBİS is a solution ready to serve not only Medipol University but every university in our country that is open to the digital world. Through our R&D center, we continue working to turn similar applications, services and solutions into products.

With VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), we provide centralized access to our resources in a highly flexible way. For example, setting up a new virtual server or a new virtual computer takes only a few minutes. In our computer laboratories, which host hundreds of VDI workstations, installing any software on all computers takes just 10 minutes.

Unlimited internet access across all areas of our campuses and in our dormitories, smart lecterns, smart boards, information screens and facial recognition systems are available to our students and academic staff 24/7.

Digital transformation is an approach that lies at the core of all of Medipol University's academic and administrative processes and is strongly supported by our management.

By digital transformation, we do not mean doing the same work better with the same methods and processes. Rather, we mean using technology to completely transform the work itself so that it is done differently, more effectively, more efficiently, faster and at lower cost, and even eliminating a process altogether when necessary.

Eliminating the distance and differences in understanding between our units is one of the most important goals of digital transformation. We know that far more productive results are achieved when business units produce outputs in coordination with all relevant teams, rather than working in isolation on their own islands.

While providing the services required by our academic and administrative units in a high-quality, sustainable, secure and well-planned manner, we continue to accompany our university on its never-ending journey of digital transformation.
