At our university, education is delivered in Turkish and English, depending on the department.

Horizontal transfer procedures are carried out in accordance with the "Ankara Medipol University Horizontal Transfer Directive" adopted by our University Senate, pursuant to the provisions of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs, Double Major and Minor Programs, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer in Higher Education Institutions".

Inter-institutional horizontal transfer can be carried out in two ways:

Horizontal Transfer Based on Central Placement Score (Additional Article 1):

Students whose central placement score in the year of their enrollment is equal to or higher than the minimum score of the target degree program in that year may apply to preparatory, intermediate, associate degree or undergraduate programs. Under Additional Article 1, students have the right to transfer to the same or a different department. Only one horizontal transfer may be made under this article; however, students who transfer may return, in subsequent application periods, to their former institution where they had gained the right to enroll through central placement.

Inter-Institutional Horizontal Transfer Based on Academic Achievement:

Students wishing to transfer to our university from other higher education institutions in Türkiye or abroad must have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 60 out of 100 for the semesters completed in their current program.

Important Note: Horizontal transfer based on academic achievement is not permitted into the preparatory year of associate and undergraduate programs, the first and last semesters of associate degree programs, or the first two and last two semesters of undergraduate programs. The above requirements may be amended by the "University Senate".

For all other details regarding the process, please refer to the Horizontal Transfer Directive on our website.

Intra-institutional horizontal transfer procedures within our university are carried out in accordance with the "Ankara Medipol University Horizontal Transfer Directive" adopted by our University Senate, in line with the provisions of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs, Double Major and Minor Programs, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer in Higher Education Institutions".

The intra-institutional horizontal transfer process is conducted according to the following criteria:

Intra-Institutional Horizontal Transfer Based on Academic Achievement:

Students must have successfully completed all courses in their current program prior to the semester of application and have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.91 out of 4.0. Students who meet the achievement requirement may apply to transfer to different departments within the university.

Transfer to Programs Admitting Students with a Different Score Type:

For transfers between programs at the same level that admit students with a different central placement score type, the student's central placement score in the score type applicable to the target degree program, as of the year in which the student took the central exam, must not be lower than the lowest minimum score of equivalent degree programs at other universities in Türkiye.

Important Note: Intra-institutional horizontal transfer is not permitted into the preparatory year of associate and undergraduate programs, the first and last semesters of associate degree programs, or the first two and last two semesters of undergraduate programs. The above requirements may be amended by the "University Senate".

For all other details and implementation principles regarding the process, please refer to the Horizontal Transfer Directive on our website.

Application Periods:

Double Major for Undergraduate Programs: Applications may be submitted at the earliest at the beginning of the third semester and at the latest at the beginning of the fifth semester in four-year programs, the seventh semester in five-year programs, and the ninth semester in six-year programs.

Graduation and Additional Time:

Students who are unable to complete the minor program may be granted up to two additional semesters by decision of the relevant executive board.

For detailed information and current quotas, please review the Double Major and Minor Programs Directive on our website.

The undergraduate departments to which graduates of our university's associate degree programs can transfer through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) are determined each year by the Measuring, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

The undergraduate programs that can be selected under the DGS vary depending on the associate degree field (department) from which the student graduated. Accordingly, the current table showing which undergraduate programs are available from each associate degree program, along with quotas and application requirements, is included in the DGS Preference Guide published by ÖSYM.

Current minimum/maximum scores, success rankings, tuition fees and quota information for the programs at our university are provided in detail on our prospective student platform to guide candidates.  (To access, click here.)

Thanks to the data integration between our university and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), our students and graduates can obtain the following documents in barcoded, verifiable format via the e-Devlet (e-Government) gateway:

The Diploma Supplement (DS) is a standard document issued in addition to a higher education diploma that facilitates the international academic and professional recognition of the diploma.

The Diploma Supplement provides a detailed description of the structure, level and content of the education received and of the studies successfully completed by the graduate. By bridging the differences between education systems, it clearly presents the graduate's competences.  (It does not replace the diploma, but makes the content and quality of the diploma easier to understand.)

The document follows a common template developed by the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES. Also known as the "Blue Diploma" label, this document ensures the international transparency and recognition of the diploma in post-graduation applications for study and employment abroad.

Graduates of our university are presented with the Diploma Supplement together with their diplomas.

The following steps must be followed to update identity information in student files:

A petition must be submitted in person to the Department of Student Affairs, together with a photocopy of the updated identity card, court decision or marriage certificate.

After the application is reviewed, the update is made on MEBİS.
