Program Information

Amaç

The aim of the Anesthesia Program is to train healthcare personnel who can assist the anesthesiology and reanimation specialist in the use of all devices and equipment involved in the anesthesia process, in the preparation of the necessary drugs and materials according to the anesthesia method to be applied, in the safe administration and termination of anesthesia, and who can fulfill their professional responsibilities and duties in accordance with legal frameworks and ethical rules, and who have the knowledge, skills and competencies related to their field.

Kayıt ve Kabul Koşulları

Student admission to the program is carried out in accordance with the principles specified in the “Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide” based on the central placement results conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM)

Mezuniyet Koşulları

The graduation requirements of the Anesthesia Program are determined in accordance with the provisions of the Ankara Medipol University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations and the Program legislation.

Önceki Öğrenimin Tanınması

The Anesthesia Program is an associate degree program consisting of four semesters and a total of 120 ECTS credits. Compulsory courses are predominant in the program and constitute the majority of the total course load. Elective courses are offered starting from the first semester in order to support students’ orientation according to their interests. The program also includes university compulsory courses and field courses together. Courses are planned on a semester basis and the program has a structure that integrates theoretical and practical education. In the first year of the program, basic medical sciences and introductory anesthesia courses are given, while in the second year, professional practice courses and trainings aimed at developing clinical skills gain importance. The program is practice-oriented and aims to develop students’ professional skills. There is no prerequisite course application in the program. In addition, mandatory internship and/or clinical practices are included within the program, and students are provided with professional experience. Students may also benefit from elective courses outside the department/program if they meet the necessary conditions.

İstihdam Olanakları

Graduates may work in; • Public hospitals (state hospitals, city hospitals), • University hospitals, • Training and research hospitals, • Private hospitals and medical centers, • Day surgery centers, • Specialized centers (such as IVF centers, eye surgery centers, etc.), • Oral and dental health centers and surgical clinics with the title of anesthesia technician.

Üst Dereceye Geçiş

Necessary legislation is associated. After graduating from the associate degree program, they can complete the undergraduate program by transferring to the departments of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Nursing, Health Management and Social Work with DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam).

In calculating students’ grades, the evaluation and grading system set forth in the Ankara Medipol University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations, as well as the relevant Department/Program legislation, is applied.

Öğrenme Durumları

Öğrenme durumları öğrencilerin yaratıcı, eleştirel, yansıtıcı düşünme becerilerini mantıksal, matematiksel düşünme becerileri gibi üst düzey düşünme becerilerini geliştirmeyi hedefler. Bunun yanında öğrencilerin meta-bilişsel becerilerini geliştirmeyi hedefler. Öğrenme durumları öğrenme stratejileri, yöntemleri, tekniklerinin yanında kullanılan araç gereçler ile ölçme değerlendirme yöntemlerini kapsamaktadır. In addition, multiple-choice and short-answer exams (including fill-in-the-blank, matching, true/false, and similar formats) are conducted to evaluate cognitive skills such as knowledge, comprehension, application, and analysis.

Written exam papers, multiple-choice tests, short-answer tests, mixed-format tests, and answer keys are utilized.
