Scholarships and Educational Opportunities

Ankara Medipol University students are admitted on a Scholarship or Fee-Paying basis according to their results in the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS).

Scholarships and discounts granted to placed students cover tuition fees only and remain valid throughout the student's period of study, including the compulsory preparatory year. Accommodation, meals, transportation, books, educational materials and similar expenses are not covered by scholarships and discounts.

ÖSYM scholarships and discounts awarded at Ankara Medipol University are non-repayable; they are discontinued only if the student commits a disciplinary offence or transfers to another program.

Candidates placed in the fee-paying quotas of Ankara Medipol University associate degree programs who listed only Ankara Medipol University or state university programs among all their preferences ranked above the program they were placed in receive a 25% preference discount on the tuition fee charged.

For undergraduate programs, only one of the following discounts is applied to students who meet the relevant requirements.

Candidates placed in the fee-paying quotas of Ankara Medipol University undergraduate programs who listed only Ankara Medipol University or state university programs among all their preferences ranked above the program they were placed in receive a discount at the specified rates on the tuition fee charged.

Candidates who meet the success ranking requirement set for the relevant program will receive a 15% discount on the tuition fee charged if they are placed in a fee-paying quota.

Candidates who meet the conditions for both the 10% PREFERENCE DISCOUNT and the 15% ACHIEVEMENT SUPPORT SCHOLARSHIP receive a 25% PREFERENCE AND ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP.

For the Computer Engineering program of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, based on the score type of the undergraduate program in which the student is placed, valid for the standard duration of study and during the compulsory preparatory year:

Students ranked in the top 1,000 will receive a monthly scholarship of 50,000 TL (for 7 months a year), free dormitory accommodation and meals, and free language education abroad.
Students ranked 1001-1500 will receive a monthly scholarship of 35,000 TL (for 7 months a year), free dormitory accommodation and meals,
Students ranked 1501-2000 will receive a monthly scholarship of 25,000 TL (for 7 months a year), free dormitory accommodation and meals,
Students ranked 2001-3000 will receive a monthly scholarship of 16,000 TL (for 7 months a year), free dormitory accommodation and meals.

Students admitted through the Vertical Transfer Exam and students who have previously graduated with an undergraduate or graduate degree from any higher education institution are not eligible for the Superior Achievement Scholarship.

For SAY and EA score types, valid for the standard duration of the undergraduate program in which the student is placed and during the compulsory preparatory year:

Students ranked in the top 100 will receive a monthly scholarship of 50,000 TL (for 7 months a year), free dormitory accommodation and meals, and free language education abroad,
Students ranked 101-250 will receive a monthly scholarship of 35,000 TL (for 7 months a year), free dormitory accommodation and meals,
Students ranked 251-500 will receive a monthly scholarship of 25,000 TL (for 7 months a year), free dormitory accommodation and meals,
Students ranked 501-750 will receive a monthly scholarship of 16,000 TL (for 7 months a year), free dormitory accommodation and meals,
Students ranked 751-1000 will receive a monthly scholarship of 13,000 TL (for 7 months a year), free dormitory accommodation and meals.
A discount or scholarship earned in the enrolled program will continue in the event of an Internal Transfer to discounted quotas of the year of enrollment.

For the Electrical and Electronics Engineering program of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, based on the score type of the undergraduate program in which the student is placed, valid for the standard duration of study and during the compulsory preparatory year:

Students ranked in the top 1,000 will receive a monthly scholarship of 50,000 TL (for 7 months a year), free dormitory accommodation and meals, and free language education abroad.
Students ranked between 1,001 and 30,000 will receive a monthly scholarship of 40,000 TL (for 7 months a year).
Students ranked in the top 30,000 will study on a full (tuition-free) scholarship.

Ankara Medipol University offers students who have demonstrated outstanding success in the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) and successfully completed our undergraduate and integrated master's programs the opportunity to pursue doctoral studies at the world's leading universities.

The main purpose of these scholarship programs is to support our students in shaping their careers around scientific research by receiving high-quality academic training in fundamental research fields. The program increases the motivation of students who turn to research from their undergraduate years and aims to train them as researchers capable of making innovative contributions on a global scale.

Under this program, which aims to support the development of internationally qualified researchers, students admitted to a fee-paying doctoral program in the basic sciences at one of the top 50 universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings will have their total annual funding supplemented up to a maximum of USD 40,000 per year for 3+1 years. Coverage of tuition fees by the University is carried out under the Ankara Medipol University Aziz Sancar Doctoral Scholarship Directive. In determining the Aziz Sancar Doctoral Scholarship;

(1) Depending on the funding structure of the doctoral program to which the candidate has been admitted, one or more of the following types of support may apply:

a) Fully funded doctoral admission: Where tuition fees and adequate living expense support are covered by the host institution or third parties, the scholar may be provided with travel support within the number and upper limits to be determined annually.

b) Doctoral admission with partial living expense funding: Where tuition fees are fully covered or waived but the stipend or living support falls below the adequate level determined by the University, the documented funding gap may be covered up to a maximum of USD 40,000 per year.

c) Doctoral admission without living expense funding: Where tuition fees are fully covered but there is no stipend or equivalent living support, living expense support may be provided taking into account the cost of living in the country and city of the host institution.

(2) The support to be provided is calculated taking into account all of the candidate's external funding sources. No duplicate payments are made for the same expense.

(3) Payments may be made in Turkish lira or in a foreign currency deemed appropriate.

The Aziz Sancar Doctoral Scholarship Abroad is available to students who have completed undergraduate or integrated master's programs and meet the following conditions.

*For students placed in Faculties of Medicine, ranking within the top 100 in the YKS success ranking and admission to a doctoral program in the basic sciences are required.

Undergraduate students, excluding Compulsory and Optional Preparatory Classes, who take the course and credit load prescribed for that year in their program's curriculum, successfully complete all courses taken, and achieve an annual weighted grade point average (SANO) of at least 2.91 out of 4.00 or equivalent without taking make-up exams in the spring semester for grade improvement or due to failure, and who rank in the top three of their class, will receive scholarships and discounts at the end of the 2026-2027 academic year in the amounts, rates and conditions set out below.

Students enrolled through Transfer or the Vertical Transfer Exam must have completed two semesters at Ankara Medipol University.

Grades of transferred courses are not included when calculating the annual weighted grade point average (SANO).

In the event of identical annual weighted grade point averages in the ranking, the third decimal place is taken into account.

Students who complete one or two academic terms at another university through the Student Exchange Program are included in the achievement ranking.

To be included in the achievement ranking, students who have transferred courses that year must take additional courses equivalent to the ECTS credits of those courses.

If a student entitled to the Achievement Scholarship fails to renew registration, withdraws, transfers, or is dismissed for any reason, this right does not pass to another student.

The relevant faculty boards re-evaluate the achievement scholarship at the end of each academic year and notify the Rectorate of the students ranking in the top three. No application is required from the student for the scholarship.

The student ranking 1st in their class will receive free tuition in the following academic year,
The student ranking 2nd in their class will receive an additional discount of 50% of the tuition fee from the tuition fee charged,
The student ranking 3rd in their class will receive an additional discount of 25% of the tuition fee from the tuition fee charged.
If the student ranking in the top three of their class is on a full scholarship,
The 1st-ranked student receives 11,000 TL (for 7 months)
The 2nd-ranked student receives 8,000 TL (for 7 months)
The 3rd-ranked student receives 6,000 TL (for 7 months) as a cash support scholarship.

The Achievement Scholarship is valid only for the following academic year.

Under protocols concluded between our University and the public and private secondary education institutions and various institutions and organizations listed in the annex, scholarships and discounts at rates determined by the Board of Trustees are applied to the annual tuition fee for students placed in our undergraduate and associate degree programs who listed only Ankara Medipol University undergraduate and associate degree programs among all their preferences ranked above the program they were placed in, as well as for students enrolled under the International Student Admission Quota.

Students who graduated from our University's associate degree programs and are admitted to undergraduate programs through the Vertical Transfer Exam receive an additional 10% tuition discount on the tuition fee charged.

If more than one sibling studies at our University, each sibling will receive an additional 10% discount on the tuition fees charged.

This discount remains valid until graduation, including the compulsory preparatory year, for as long as the students study together and provided that none of them leaves the university.

Students who are not on a full scholarship and hold a disability report of 40% or above will receive an additional 10% tuition discount on the tuition fee charged.

Children of martyrs and veterans who are not on a full scholarship receive an additional 10% tuition discount on the tuition fee charged. This discount remains valid throughout the student's period of study, including the compulsory preparatory year.

Students who have represented the national team at least once in the last five years, documented by the relevant federations, and who earn a place on university teams and participate in related activities (meetings, training, matches, away games, etc.) or represent the university in domestic and international competitions in individual sports, receive an additional 50% tuition discount on the tuition fee charged, valid for the following academic year, provided they receive no disciplinary penalty.

If the student is on a full scholarship, they receive 5,000 TL in educational support for 7 months in the following academic year.

Final-year students receive 5,000 TL in educational support for 7 months in the following academic year.

Applications submitted by petition from students with national team status who wish to compete in individual sports are reviewed. License and tournament registrations for approved applications are arranged by the university.

Students who are not national athletes but are selected for university team sports squads receive an additional 25% tuition discount on the tuition fee charged, valid for the following academic year, as long as they remain on the university team, participate in team-related activities (meetings, training, matches, away games, etc.) and receive no disciplinary penalty.

If the student is on a full scholarship, they receive 4,000 TL in educational support for 7 months in the following academic year.

Final-year students receive 4,000 TL in educational support for 7 months in the following academic year.

Athletes on more than one team may benefit from the team athlete discount only once.

Applications from students who are not national athletes but wish to compete in individual sports are accepted by petition. License and tournament registrations for approved applicants are arranged by the university. Students who finish in the top three in a competition they participate in receive a 10% tuition discount in the following academic year.

If the student is on a full scholarship, they receive 3,000 TL in educational support for 7 months in the following academic year.
Final-year students receive 3,000 TL in educational support for 7 months in the current academic year.

Athletes with disabilities are evaluated under the same conditions and benefit from the same discounts.

Team and Individual Athlete Lists are submitted to the Rectorate by the Department of Health, Culture and Sports, and team lists approved by the Rectorate are valid.

Pursuant to the memorandum of understanding signed with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, national athletes documented as successful in the following sports categories within the last 4 years receive a 100% tuition discount, limited to the duration of their studies, if they are placed according to the results of the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Exam.

a) Group 1: Athletes who have won medals at the Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic Games, the Youth Olympic Games, World and European Championship Finals in the senior category of Olympic and Paralympic sports, and World and European Cup Finals in the senior category of sports in which no World and European Championships are held,

b) Group 2: Athletes who have won medals at World and European Championship Finals in the U23, Junior and Youth categories of Olympic and Paralympic sports, World and European Cup Finals in the U23, Junior and Youth categories of sports in which no World and European Championships are held, the European Games, Universiades, Mediterranean Games, Islamic Solidarity Games, European Youth Olympic Summer and Winter Festivals, and World Championships organized by FISU (International University Sports Federation), as well as athletes who have participated in the Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic Games and the Youth Olympic Games,

c) Group 3: Athletes who have won medals at international competitions and tournaments in Olympic and Paralympic sports listed in the competition calendars of international federations, with participation of athletes from at least 16 countries in individual sports or teams from at least 9 countries in team sports, as well as athletes who have participated in European and World Championship finals in the Senior, U23, Junior and Youth categories of Olympic and Paralympic sports, and World and European Cup finals in the senior, U23, junior and youth categories of sports in which no World and European Championships are held

This discount covers tuition fees only and is valid limited to the duration of studies, including the compulsory preparatory year.

A 100% tuition scholarship will be applied pursuant to the memorandum of understanding signed with the Ministry of Youth and Sports on 28.11.2019.

Pursuant to the memorandum of understanding signed with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, students enrolled at our university who finish in the top three in competitions in which they represent our university receive 5,000 TL in educational support for 7 months in the following academic year.

NOTE: If more than one provision applies to the same matter, the highest may be claimed.

In all undergraduate and associate degree programs with compulsory preparatory education, the preparatory tuition fee is the same as the tuition fee of the program in which the student is placed. Scholarships and discounts earned are applied to preparatory fees.

Students attending the optional preparatory class are admitted to the preparatory program at a 25% discount on the fee of the program in which they are placed.
