English Preparatory Program

English-medium instruction is offered in the academic units of Ankara Medipol University. The language of instruction and the proportion of courses taught in English vary by faculty and program. In addition, students in all departments without a compulsory preparatory program have the right to enroll in the English Preparatory Program on an optional basis.

The primary goal of the English program is to enable students to understand the target foreign language, express what they understand, put it into writing and use it in their academic work. This intensive program, delivered by expert Turkish and international instructors, is designed in line with a global and contemporary approach to language education. The weekly course schedule consists of General English at the beginner level and, at subsequent levels, courses that address each language skill separately: Grammar, Academic Reading, Listening, Speaking, Academic Essay Writing, Computer-Assisted Language Learning and, in the advanced terms, English for Specific Purposes.
