Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Staff and students of our university are automatically members of our library. To activate their membership, they simply need to present their staff or student ID card.

You can borrow publications you have located through the catalog search and taken from the shelf by presenting your university ID card to the staff at the circulation desk.

Users must apply in person to borrow or renew publications. Only returns may be made on behalf of someone else.

The loan period for borrowed materials is 30 days for students and 45 days for staff. Loans can be renewed at the Circulation Desk before the due date, provided the publication has not been reserved by another user and the user has no outstanding fines.

First, search the Library Catalog computer again to check the status of the publication and make sure it has not been borrowed by another user. If the publication has not been borrowed but cannot be found on the shelf, please contact the Circulation Desk.

Our library uses the LC (Library of Congress) Classification System. Books are arranged on open shelves by subject, so that books on the same subject are shelved together.

Current issues of periodicals are not available for loan. Back issues may be borrowed.

Daily fines for overdue materials aim to ensure that materials are returned or renewed on time. For overdue reserve materials, fines are charged for each hour or part of an hour overdue.

Wireless network services are available on campus for laptop users.

This service is available to Medipol University students and academic and administrative staff.

University staff can request books through the library automation system. Students can send requests for the books they need, along with the Book Request Form, to [email protected].

Select the databases relevant to your subject from the Databases link and use the keywords most appropriate to your topic when searching.

Food and drinks, except water, are not permitted in the library.

To avoid misplacement, please do not reshelve the publications you have read; leave them on the table instead. Staff will return them to their proper places.
