Nicotine- and Tobacco-Free University

To create a healthy and safe learning and working environment, Ankara Medipol University has adopted a “Nicotine- and Tobacco-Free University” approach that restricts the use of nicotine and tobacco products on all of its campuses. This approach is more than a restriction; it is implemented as a comprehensive health policy reinforced by awareness, guidance and support mechanisms.

Implementation and Inspections Regarding Nicotine and Tobacco Products

The use of nicotine and tobacco products is generally prohibited on university premises, including academic and administrative buildings, open areas, car parks, social and sports facilities, university vehicles and all events organized by the University. Use is permitted only in the official “Designated Nicotine and Tobacco Product Use Areas” determined by the University and marked 1, 2 and 3 on the map. To ensure that this policy is implemented effectively and sustainably, regular and unannounced inspections are carried out across the campus.
