Mission

Our mission is to train physiotherapists, educators and researchers who respect human dignity and rights, uphold ethical values, embrace lifelong learning and possess effective communication skills. We aim to cultivate innovative, contemporary professionals with professional autonomy who can analyse society's current health needs and adopt evidence-based practices. Our department seeks to produce original, high-quality scientific knowledge by supporting interdisciplinary collaboration in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, to train specialists who have embraced a research culture, and to make the knowledge produced available for the benefit of society. It is also committed to improving individuals' movement and function through science-based practice, enhancing their quality of life, and contributing to the protection and promotion of public health. The core mission of our department is to train competent professionals who can successfully represent their profession and institution at national and international levels.

Vision

Our vision is to be a leading centre of education and research in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, whose graduates are sought after thanks to its high-quality education, which stands out for the scientific knowledge it produces and its contributions to society, and which develops innovative approaches in the field. We aim to build a model institution that adopts contemporary and effective learning models in education, gains international visibility through its research outputs, and sets an example in its field. To this end, our key priorities include strengthening professional development by supporting the global engagement of students and academic staff, advancing preventive and health-promoting physiotherapy practices, and making scientific and structural contributions that further strengthen the profession's position within the healthcare system.
