Mission and Vision
MISSION
The mission of the Anesthesia Program is to train qualified anesthesia technicians who prioritize patient safety in operating rooms and other interventional settings, work in effective collaboration with physicians in anesthesia practice, integrate scientific knowledge with clinical practice, adhere to professional ethical principles, possess strong communication skills and are able to adapt to technological developments.
In line with this mission, the program adopts the following as its core objectives:
- Developing students' knowledge, skills and competencies in line with national qualifications,
- Continuously improving education and training processes within the framework of the quality assurance system and the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle,
- Adopting an educational approach centered on patient and staff safety,
- Equipping students with clinical decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills,
- Training healthcare professionals who can adapt to interdisciplinary teamwork,
- Enhancing the employability and professional competence of graduates.
VISION
The vision of the Anesthesia Program is to be a leading and preferred educational program that is recognized nationally as a model among associate degree programs in anesthesia education in terms of quality assurance, its practice-based education model and graduate competencies; that embraces international standards; that closely follows scientific and technological developments and integrates them into its educational processes; that prioritizes patient and staff safety; and that remains committed to ethical values.
In line with this vision, the program aims to adopt and sustain an educational approach that:
- Conducts education and training processes through a quality assurance system and a continuous improvement approach,
- Develops strong and sustainable collaborations with clinical practice settings,
- Systematically incorporates stakeholder feedback into educational processes,
- Increases the preference for its graduates in the healthcare sector through their professional qualifications, clinical skills and ethical stance,
- Makes effective use of digital learning environments and innovative teaching methods,
- Continuously improves the quality of education in line with national qualifications and current legislation.
