Mission and Vision

MISSION 

The mission of the Biomedical Device Technology Program is to train biomedical technicians who can take part in the installation, maintenance, repair, calibration and safe use of medical devices in the healthcare sector; who integrate theoretical knowledge with practice; who closely follow technological developments; and who are committed to professional ethics and solution-oriented.

To this end, the program aims to:

• Develop students' professional knowledge, skills and competencies,

• Integrate innovations in health technologies into the educational process,

• Train sector-ready individuals through practice-based education,

• Equip students with problem-solving, analytical thinking and communication skills,

• Foster an awareness of lifelong learning. These are adopted as its core objectives.

VISION

The vision of the Biomedical Device Technology Program is to be a leading program in practice-oriented education among associate degree programs in health technologies, one recognized nationally as a model in terms of quality assurance, teaching and learning processes and graduate competencies, which closely follows international developments and integrates them into its curriculum, and which builds strong collaborations with the sector.

In line with this vision, the program aims to sustain an educational approach that:
• Embraces continuous improvement,
• Effectively reflects stakeholder feedback in its educational processes,
• Produces graduates who are preferred for their professional competence and ethical stance,
• Uses innovative teaching methods and technologies,
• Adapts to rapid change in health technologies and integrates this change into its educational processes,
• Prioritizes the safe, effective and correct use of biomedical devices.
