Office 365 for Our Staff and Students
Office 365, Microsoft’s cloud solutions portal, has been made available to our university’s staff and students through a corporate agreement. Staff can subscribe and log in to the Office 365 portal using their @ankaramedipol.edu.tr e-mail address, and students using their @std.ankaramedipol.edu.tr e-mail address, together with their password. You can access the portal by registering through the Office 365 link at Free Microsoft Office 365 for Schools and Students | Microsoft Education (https://www.microsoft.com/tr-tr/education/products/office ).
The platform currently offers 26 applications, and the number continues to grow. Some of the services offered with Office 365 include:
- Office 365 ProPlus: Download the latest version of Microsoft Office and install it as a licensed product on up to 5 of your own devices (Windows and Mac computers)
- Office Online: Use the core Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) in your web browser without installing Microsoft Office
- Sway: A new web-based presentation app
- OneDrive: 1 TB of storage space
- Forms: An app for quickly and easily creating quizzes, surveys and registration forms
- Skype for Business: An internal Skype application offering messaging, file sharing, desktop or application sharing, video conferencing and more.
- Microsoft Flow: An app for creating workflows, synchronization, notifications and other interactions between the apps, applications and web services you use regularly
- Planner: A project management app that helps you plan, coordinate and track your personal or team projects and tasks
- Power BI: A business intelligence solution.
- Teams: A collaboration app. People working together at our university can create teams, set up shared workspaces by integrating the applications on the Office 365 platform, and extend them with the help of Flow
- Yammer: An enterprise social networking app. When actively used, it offers benefits to the institution such as engagement, sharing of expertise and surveys.
- Mail, Calendar, Tasks: These are standard features available in Outlook. Since our corporate e-mail service is not provided in the cloud, you need to use these features in Outlook rather than through the Office 365 portal.
